Shazzle's Unique Take on Money and Music

Music gets consumed digitally; it happens a lot. That people share files is a reality; that it's uncontrolled and illicit doesn't have to be. Let's take a quick look at what everyone wants to accomplish with the creation and distribution of music:

• Artists: By and large, the people making the music want their stuff heard and want to be rewarded for their creations.
• Listeners and Fans: People want easy access to secure, legitimate copies of the digital copies of the music they like.
• Adveritsers: Advertisers want to reach specific audiences with targeted messages.

All right, so how could we reconcile all these wants and interests? One way would be to let artists set up their own communities where they make their own content available for download, for free, where targeted, unobtrusive ads are displayed. This way, users know the content they're downloading is legal and safe, as they're getting it directly from the source. The advertisers get access to the downloaders. The artists get to distibute their music and get revenue from the advertising. Later versions of Shazzle will include an E-commerce engine called Shazzle Dollars, which will make all of this a painless process that will take minutes to operate (users will just have to click "monetize my community" to begin recieving checks cut by Shazzle). Everybody gets paid, music gets shared and listened to...everybody wins with Shazzle music.
