The search function in Shazzle helps you search for files across all public groups or search for specific Shazzle members
Search for Files
You can search for any file in Shazzle across all public groups. This helps you find files that you are looking for and can also help you find a group you want to join (because it has the kinds of files that you are looking to share). Once you find the files, some of them will be immediately downloadable without joining the group and some will require you to join the group in order to download the file. This is a factor of how the group creator set up the group. Follow these steps to find files:
- Click on the “Search” button in the main toolbar.
- Type in a search term and click the “Search” button. Be patient as this search can take a while.
- Search results will load into the search results panel as matches are found.
- If you find too many matches, you might want to narrow your search by group category, file type, or a specific tag value. Select filters and click the “Search” button again.
Search for People
You can search for people by name in People Search. Once you find a person, you can join their group, view their profile, and chat with them. You can also make note of their username and then add them to your Buddy list (See also: Add a Buddy).
- Click on the “Search” button in the main toolbar.
- Type in a name and click the “Search” button.
- Search results will load into the search results panel as matches are found.
- If you find too many matches, you might want to narrow your search by state or sex. Select filters and click the “Search” button again.
